What is organisation development?

OD is about improving your organisation's overall effectiveness by carefully balancing the intricacies of people, process & performances.  In practice, as every company is different, the work required will be different.  Every individual has different stories and every company as a collective of individuals have a collective story that makes it culture.  Where it works, we celebrate, where it doesn't we calibrate and change to become more effective.   


In summary,

  • OD involves working with individuals, groups and data
  • OD is informed by behavioural science knowledge & complexity science which helps us to understand how individuals and organisations really work 


At its heart, organisation development is about navigating changes to improve effectiveness by working in partnership across a whole system,


where change is considered as any disruption of a repeated pattern of thinking, feeling or behaviour.
