If you are constrained by traditional, performance coaching and want to work at a more profound and meaningful level, this programme is for you.
This experiential course introduces Gestalt principles and practice, focusing on how you as a coach bring your experience and somatic resonance into the coaching relationship, what is often called Use of Self as an Instrument of Change. Rather than searching for the "right" powerful question, the emphasis shifts to bringing your intuitive and emotional reactions to what is happening in the moment. It is more effective, and less effort.
What you will learn
Grounded in 100 years of psychotherapy research showing that the quality of the relationship is the single biggest factor in creating change, this programme will equip you to develop:
How the programme is structured
The workshop is highly experiential, drawing learning from personal and group experience. It covers sensory and emotional awareness, the paradoxical nature of change, and phenomenological ways of working. Coaching demonstrations, skills practice, peer feedback, and faculty supervision are woven throughout.
Who is this for
This course is designed for coaches and senior practitioners who have basic coaching skills and want to deepen their practice to bring about significant change in themselves, in others, and in their systems.
Accreditation
This is a certificate-level programme. On completion, you will receive a certificate of attendance from the AoEC. The programme has been awarded 15 CCEs (11.5 Core Competency and 3.5 Resource Development) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

This programme is designed to support your development in coaching. For those who would like to know more about the basics in Gestalt, please refer our Community of Practice webpage for more on Gestalt.
