8th March 2023 - International Women's Day.
I am devoted to leadership development particularly for women who are lost, stuck, overlooked or sidelined.
In my own journey, I have been blessed by leaders who saw the oak tree in this acorn. Before I had even had the chance to prove myself, they placed their bet on me and believed in me in the early years of my career. I cannot thank them enough for the difference they have made in my life. My spirit stands tall because they stood tall for me. And so in my life, I stand for others as they have done to perpetuate their leadership legacy.
Here in "Leadership Moments" I aim to capture my personal a-has to share my experience with the hope that it can be of value to you. I love how Marva Collins reframed, "Failure is the place I rest, where I run the big race of success!" Growing up in a culture of shame and judgement, doing well means succeeding without any room for failure. This has been stifling and debilitating. I now see failures as pit stops to change my tyres so I can return to finish my race. This is the inspiration behind this page, turning failures into learning to become better!
Be sonder, be well!
