This webinar is an opportunity to learn how you can take your coaching practice to the next level. Self as Instrument of Change is a well-used term in coaching today. But are you able to practice this effectively and with confidence? This webinar builds on your coaching skills and basics in Gestalt to provide you with some insights to deepen your practice.

Dialogue it is at the heart of Gestalt coaching practice.  Doing this well depends on our ability to use our senses, cognition, body and emotions as a way of truly engaging in this level of coaching dialogue.  Playing back what is happening to you in the coaching dialogue is a powerful and fruitful intervention. In contrast to the traditional performance coaching, Gestalt coaching invites you, the coach, to be fully and personally involved - and with awareness of boundaries.

In his book, Fertile Void Ch 7, John has coined a term Somatic Resonance to describe the physical, ‘gut’ or intuitive reaction we have when we are open to the other and resonate on to their emotional experience. In this webinar he will share and provide demonstration to the following:  

1. Perceptual Resonance - what we see & hear
2. Cognitive Resonance - our thoughts, opinions, hypotheses 
3. Somatic Resonance - our physical and emotional reaction

We are delighted to have John, founder and board member of Academy of Executive Coaching  ('AoEC')  share with us his deep experience in Gestalt Coaching.  John's books (Systemic Team Coaching & The Fertile Void) help demystify complex Gestalt principles and translate them gracefully into clear and impactful ways to make a difference to our Coaching practice.  

This webinar is designed for coaches with some basic knowledge of Gestalt, to support their development in coaching. A short article on the Gestalt theoretical position for Use of Self is also available to support the webinar.
